Meredith Mathis

Staff Attorney

Meredith joined Disability Rights Oregon in January 2024 as a Staff Attorney with the Multnomah Civil Commitment Program.

A longtime volunteer with the Mental Health Association of Portland, Meredith earned her bachelor's degree from Reed College and her law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Before joining our team, Meredith worked at Metropolitan Public Defender in Hillsboro and the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic in Portland. She has also clerked at Oregon Justice Resource Center, the Oregon Federal Public Defender, and the National Center for Youth Law.

In her free time, Meredith enjoys watching (a lot) of movies, lifting weights, and exploring the natural beauty of Oregon.
