Benjamin Funkhouser

Compliance Analyst

Benjamin joined the Disability Rights Oregon team in August of 2022. In his role as a Compliance Analyst he carries out onsite reviews of Representative Payees for the Strengthening Protections for Social Security Beneficiaries (SPSSB) program.

Prior to his work at Disability Rights Oregon, Benjamin spent four and a half years as a Personal Support Worker for adults with developmental disabilities. He also worked for Oregon Health and Science University as a Research Assistant and LEND Fellow in the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities. His experience as a software developer in a prior career also informs the way he approaches his work.

Benjamin received his Master’s in Social Work from Portland State University in 2021.
