Salem, Oregon—June 29, 2026. Disability Rights Oregon fully supports today’s multistate lawsuit challenging the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' June 3 interim final rule on Medicaid community engagement requirements. We call on the courts to act swiftly to block its implementation.
““The administration promised that people with disabilities would be shielded from the harmful cuts of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, but the draft regulations break that promise. If this regulation stands, real people will lose the care they depend on to live independently and participate in society. We’re grateful the Attorneys General stepped in to defend our community.””
For more information about today’s filing, see Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield’s press release.
