For many people, a home is a foundation for launching their dreams and a haven of comfort and security. Safe, stable housing is something that we all need to thrive, but people with disabilities often face barriers in accessing housing. Learn about your right to request a reasonable accommodation or modification.
In some cases, we can provide assistance to people facing eviction with a high risk of homelessness, where the issue is disability based, and the person lives in low-income or subsidized housing.
We can also provide assistance to people requiring reasonable accommodations or modifications in order to enable them to fully use and enjoy their unit. We do not have the capacity to assist in most eviction and reasonable accommodation matters, but can provide information and referral and individual advocacy in some cases.

Understanding Reasonable Accommodations and Modifications
A reasonable accommodation is a request to make an accommodation or change in rules, policies, practices, or procedures to allow an individual with a disability an equal opportunity to use and enjoy a unit. A reasonable modification is a structural change made to existing premises, occupied, or to be occupied by a person with a disability, in order to afford such person full enjoyment of the premises.
