We want to hear from you! Disability Rights Oregon is hosting listening sessions across the state in the coming months. If you are over 18 years old, you are invited to tell us about your priorities and what is and is not working for Oregonians with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Information gathered from these sessions will be used to inform DRO’s priorities for the coming year.
Registration is not necessary, and refreshments will be served.

Who should attend?
Individuals 18+ who experience intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
What is the purpose of these listening sessions?
Disability Rights Oregon would like to learn more about self-advocate priorities and what is and is not working well in the lives of Oregonians with disabilities. Your experience will help inform us what work we should prioritize in the coming years.
What topics are you wanting to hear about?
We really want to hear about your experiences with:
community integration
post-secondary education
housing
employment
transportation
other topics relevant to the disability community
How long will the sessions last?
Each session will be 90 minutes. Advocates from Disability Rights Oregon will remain for 30 minutes after for people who wish to follow up.
Can a support person attend the listening session with me?
Yes, but the intent of our listening sessions is to get feedback from self-advocates. Support persons are there to support the advocate in sharing their voice.
Are these sessions confidential?
Yes. We will not share names nor any type of personally identifiable information with the public or other organizations. We may, however, capture anonymous quotes for use in our research.
Will there be refreshments?
Yes, there will be light refreshments served. We cannot accommodate dietary restrictions.
