Therese McLain
Board Member
Therese most recently worked in the finance and wealth management industry, including at MultiCultural Collaborative (MCC) and the Asian Pacific Islander Chamber of Commerce of Oregon (APCO), where she currently consults. Throughout her life and as someone with a family member with a disability, Therese has been a champion for people with disabilities, working to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and valued.
Before switching to the private sector, Therese worked in the Portland, Oregon, non-profit world on low-income housing issues and training and employing people with disabilities. There she developed and co-chaired the Connecting Communities Coalition and the CCC Leadership Academy, focused on empowering people with disabilities, a program that was eventually adopted by the City of Portland's Office of Neighborhood Involvement.
Therese joined the Disability Rights Oregon Board in 2023. She previously served on the City of Portland Commission on Disability and with Ride Connection.
