Plan for Work

Plan for Work helps people with disabilities plan for work and achieve work goals. It is a program of Disability Rights Oregon, the Protection & Advocacy System for Oregon, and is one of 103 Work Incentives Planning & Assistance (WIPA) Projects across the U.S. authorized by the Social Security Administration.

Am I eligible for Plan for Work?

Plan for Work has four Community Work Incentives Coordinators who provide individualized benefits planning and support to anyone receiving:

  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)

How can Plan for Work help me?

We'll help you understand how to use one or more of over 40 Social Security Work Incentives, whether you are trying work for the first time, or returning to work.

Plus, we'll explain those complicated Social Security rules.  Do you believe that if you go to work, you'll lose all your cash benefits and medical insurance?  Take it from us: this almost never happens.

We work with your family, caregivers, guardians, and other support team members so that you and everyone on your team understands that you always get ahead when you choose to work.

We can also provide assistance with the following:
